Airfix
Airfix is an injection-molded plastic scale model kit manufacturer. It is based in the United Kingdom. The name Airfix is synonymous with aircraft plastic models, often referred to as an Airfix kit even by other manufacturers.
Airfix is founded in 1939 and was owned by Humbrol till 31 August 2006. Since 2007, both Humbrol and Airfix are owned by Hornby.
Airfix also tried the video gaming industry. In the 2000s, Airfix Dogfighter for Microsoft Windows has been released. It featured the iconic Second World War-era model aircraft. Players fought their way through the game's 1950s-era house, destroying enemy planes while trying to collect healing glue packets, new model kits, weapons schematics, and paint to customize their aircraft for online battles.
